Our goal in sailing education is to provide the knowledge and skills necessary to safely operate and use sailing boats and yachts anywhere in the world. Operating a boat means being able to use both sailing and motorized yachts, as it requires learning about navigation, tidal calculations, collision and safety rules at sea, meteorology, and security. Simply being able to sail a boat is not enough, as it also requires learning how to safely dock, depart from a harbor, anchor, and rescue people from the water. Additionally, you need a license to legally operate a boat in various parts of the world. Many insurance companies will not insure a boat or cover damages in case of an accident if you do not have the proper license. Furthermore, almost every marina and mooring location requires insurance to dock your boat. Our sailing education covers all of this, providing a comprehensive training program and an internationally recognized license.
This entire training takes place on a boat, living aboard and touring. Theoretical training is provided daily, followed by practical training while sailing to another stopover point. You will learn everything you need to know when owning or renting a boat through hands-on experience.
Sailing education teaches how to operate a sailing boat, control the sails, utilize the wind, and understand basic maritime rules. The training typically consists of both theoretical lessons and practical applications. Sailing education progresses in stages, with more advanced courses available that cover advanced techniques and skills. At higher levels, topics such as precise sailing techniques, maritime navigation, reading weather conditions, and more complex maneuvers are addressed. Sailing education offers an important opportunity for personal development, gaining experience, and enjoyment in areas such as safety, skill development, connecting with nature, stress reduction, teamwork, and leadership. It also provides a competitive field for those interested in sailing as a sport.
The Aegean Sea is a popular and suitable region for sailing education. The open waters, wind conditions, and islands of the Aegean Sea provide an ideal environment for sailing. Sailing education in the Aegean waters is the right choice, with key points such as wind conditions, islands and bays, maritime culture, sailing schools and clubs, races, and events. Practical application is crucial for learning how to sail in sailing education. Therefore, it is essential to take the training on a boat to gain real experience with a sailing vessel. During the sailing education process, learning and applying safety precautions, adhering to maritime rules, monitoring weather conditions, and handling emergencies can only be learned through hands-on experience. Basic theoretical knowledge is reinforced through practical application. Having real experience with a sailing boat allows you to learn how to control the sails and utilize the wind.

All our yachts are large and comfortable, providing a spacious and stable platform for sailing. Each yacht has four double cabins with ensuite WC/shower. The well-laid out galley includes modern amenities such as a refrigerator, freezer, microwave, coffee machine, stove, oven, and more, allowing you to easily prepare food on board. If you prefer stress-free cooking, simply moor the yacht at one of the restaurant piers and indulge in mouth-watering Aegean cuisine ashore. Additionally, our yachts are equipped with air conditioning, TVs, and stereo systems, in addition to comfortable interior layouts and modern furnishings. Our yachts demonstrate that you can enjoy the comforts of home while sailing!

WHAT WILL I DO FOR 2 WEEKS ?
Our boat days are full and well-organized. We depart from the harbor/marina on Saturday for a two-week journey, returning to the same port on Friday. Each night we dock in a different bay or island along our pre-planned route, which varies yearly between the Turkish coast and Greek Islands. In the morning, before 8:00 AM, our Skipper offers an optional tour/trek to historical sites or natural wonders. Wake-up time is at 8:00 - 8:30 AM with breakfast served at 9:00 AM; usually prepared together on board. After breakfast (10:00-12:00), theory lessons commence. Around noon (when wind conditions are favorable), we set sail for our next destination arriving between 16:00-18:00 PM. During this free time until dinner guests may choose to swim, rest, study or take a nature walk. At 19:30 dinner is served featuring local cuisine and lively conversation among guests that continues into the evening hours. Following dinner you can participate in card games, chess matches or simply enjoy nature's beauty around us!

Our modern yachts are spacious, comfortable, and equipped with all the necessary creature comforts to make your sailing vacation as relaxing as possible. All our yachts are 16 meters (50ft) in length and have five ensuite cabins each. We ensure that nothing prevents you from endlessly enjoying the Aegean paradise bays.

SCHEDULE
We offer courses year-round, so simply choose the date that suits you and participate in one of our training voyages. You can rest assured that the program you have booked will be conducted. A typical training course starts from Datca-Marmaris and follows the route you have chosen. Theory and practical training are provided while you live on the yacht, 24 hours a day. After you have returned to your normal life, all of this might feel like a dream, but that IYT certificate will prove that dreams do come true.

ACCOMODATION
- You will stay on board the yacht for 14 nights in a typical two week program
- Our sailing yacht have 3 cabins plus an additional skippers’ cabin.
- We accommodate a maximum of 4 people on one yacht for training. İf you charter the boat, you can gave up to 8 people.
- We provide bed sheets, pillow covers and a towel for each person
FOOD
- The crew of each sailing yacht will collectively do the shopping and share costs equally. We can provide a suggested shopping list.
- • Individuals can decide whether to cook on board or enjoy local delicacies in seaside restaurants.
- The Skipper/Instructor is provided meals at the expense of the crew.
HOW TO REACH OUR YACHTS
- Our yachts are based in Cairos Marina. The nearest airport is Bodrum (36 km + 18nm ferry). Dalaman airport is 160km away and there is a regular shuttle service and private transfers. Izmir Adnan-Menderes airport is 284km away and Antalya airport is 281km away. Buses and taxis are available, and a transfer service from these airports is also provided.
PROGRAM

- Our routes are published yearly and they will be either along the Turkish coast or Greek Islands depending on the particular week(s). You can browse through our routes here: Program
- In the morning, an optional tour/trek will be organized by the Skipper at 8:00 AM to visit a historical site or enjoy nature.
- Theory is taught after breakfast (10:00-12:00).
- In our region, the wind usually picks up at around 12:00 PM, so we depart for our next location at around noon.
- After arriving at our destination (between 16:00-18:00), people will have free time until dinner. You may choose to swim, rest, study, or go for a nature walk.
- Dinner is held at 19:30 and continues for a few hours as we enjoy the local cuisine and engage in conversation.
- After dinner you may participate in playing games (cards, chess, etc.), listening to music or just enjoying nature.
PRICES
- The price for 1 week of sailing training in the summer season starts from €750. An additional €100 is required for the IYT license.
- The price for 2 weeks of sailing training in the summer season starts from €1500. With the IYT Bareboat Skipper license, the price is €1700.
- To be a skipper, you need to have a VHF license. You can obtain it before the course from other sources, or you can acquire it during the course (tour) from us.

CHECK-IN and CHECK-OUT
- Saturday is check-in and meeting day. Our sailing yachts are located in Datca Cairos Marina. You can check in anytime after 16:00 and settle on board.
- Our first briefing is held at approximately 17:00 and then we stock up on provisions. We have our first dinner together in the marina and afterwards people can explore the vibrant Datca nightlife!
- Sunday marks our first day of sailing. We complete any last-minute shopping and begin our voyage around noon..
- Our sailing tour concludes on Friday (1 or 2 weeks later) after 16:00. You may choose to disembark from the yacht or stay for an additional night to enjoy Datca-Marmaris. All yachts must be vacated by 9:00 on Saturday morning to allow for cleaning and preparation for the next group.

“As I arrived at the Marina in Datca, Turkey for my first day of the two-week training course, a wave of anticipation washed over me. The weeks leading up to this moment had been filled with excitement and preparation. Stepping onto the sailboat, I could feel the vibrant energy in the air. The friendly staff greeted me with warm smiles, instantly putting me at ease. Looking around, I saw fellow students who, like me, were eager to embark on this sailing adventure. The sense of camaraderie was palpable, and I couldn't wait to meet and bond with these like-minded individuals. The atmosphere was electric, signaling the start of an incredible journey where we would learn, grow, and create lasting memories together.
The staff wasted no time in introducing us to the sailboat's features, ensuring we felt comfortable with the vessel that would become our home for the next two weeks. They showed us our cozy accommodations, complete with all the necessary amenities. The emphasis on safety was evident as they carefully explained the operation of the safety equipment on board. After settling in, we ventured to the local market as a team, excitedly stocking up on essentials for the upcoming days. Once we had everything we needed, we stowed away our supplies and decided to celebrate the beginning of this adventure with a delightful dinner in the charming harbor. Sharing laughter and stories, we bonded as a team, eagerly anticipating the incredible journey that lay ahead. With hearts full and minds buzzing with anticipation, we called it a night, ready to embrace the challenges and joys of learning to sail in this beautiful setting.
Our daily routine was both invigorating and enriching. Each morning, after a satisfying breakfast, we eagerly gathered on the boat, ready for the day's adventures. Our experienced instructor would kickstart the day by delivering a comprehensive lesson, covering different chapters of the syllabus, while we absorbed the knowledge amidst the serene beauty of the open sea. With our minds filled with newfound insights, we embarked on our daily sailing activities. The final day arrived, bringing a mix of emotions as we approached the culmination of our journey. We sailed back to our home harbor, a sense of accomplishment accompanying each breath of the sea breeze. As we prepared for the final exam, we reviewed our lessons, ensuring that we were ready to demonstrate our newfound expertise. With a mixture of nerves and determination, we completed the test, putting our new knowledge to the ultimate test. After bidding farewell to our new friends we had made during this transformative experience, we packed up our belongings, knowing that it was time to embark on our respective journeys back home. As we reflected on the wonderful memories we had created, the growth we had achieved, and the friendships we had formed, a profound sense of fulfillment settled within us.
