International Yacht Training Worldwide (IYT)
The company was started in 2002 for the purpose of standardizing yacht training across the globe and offering the training in a modular format. Courses can be taken in any of our partner schools anywhere in the world. To date, we have 118 partner schools in 36 countries, and our courses are available in six different languages.
The company offers an entire range of recreational courses, from entry-level sailing and powerboat courses up to Yachtmaster Offshore. We also provide professional yachting courses such as Master of Yachts Coastal, Limited and Unlimited, Superyacht Deck Crew, and Professional Superyacht Hospitality.

This is a five day course aimed at increasing a student’s knowledge sufficiently to be a watchkeeper or a flotilla skipper on a live-aboard sail or power boat.
This is a certificate of excellence for those candidates who wish to train to become an active crew member on a power or sailing yacht.
This is a certificate of competency for those candidates who wish to train to command a vessel up to 24 metres in length, in fair weather and in sight of land.
The IYT Worldwide Yachtmaster Coastal certificate is a recreational certificate of competency for command of sailing and/or power vessels up to 24 metres in length up to 60 nm offshore.
A qualification that the holder has sufficient knowledge of celestial navigation to navigate a 24-metre vessel globally using a sextant and to plan, undertake and manage an ocean passage.
Recreational certificate of competency to command sailing and/or power vessels up to 24 metres in length up to 150 nm offshore.
The IYT Marine Communications course (Very High Frequency – Short Range Certificate) is recognised by the Republic of the Marshall Islands.
This is a certificate of competency for those candidates who wish to skipper a power vessel up to 24 metres in length, in fair weather and in sight of land.

The ICC is a certificate confirming that an individual is competent to the level required to meet the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe Inland Water Committee (UNECE IWC) Resolution 40.
